The Annual Action Plan provides guidance to the Ashokan Watershed Program staff to help them prioritize their work.

It is developed from the management recommendations in the Ashokan Watershed stream management plans but also incorporates new information about the watershed and feedback from citizens, local, state and county government, and other organizations about the effectiveness of the program. 

The Ashokan Watershed Advisory Council and the Working Groups play a role in developing the annual action plan for the project. The process for plan development begins in August and goes through the end of April each year. The program staff welcome comments and feedback from the public about the annual action plan. Comments will be used by the staff and Advisory Council as they make changes to and update the plan each year.
